Cardiac Emergencies Review

I picked this book up about a year ago and have consistently used it, whether to answer my own questions, taking on those of my students, or preparing for lectures and presentations. I have found it to be a great book with a very expansive amount of information in it. Even though it is primarily written for emergency medicine practitioners, the subjects contained in it are extremely useful for clinicians involves with family practice, internal medicine, and subspecialties. It wouild also be of benefit for paramedics and others in pre-hospital medicine.
The book includes very informative sections on acute coronary syndromes and heart failure, as well as some of the other "miscellaneous topics" as cardiac toxicology, hypertensive emergencies, myocarditis, and pediatric cardiology. I have found some of these latter sections to be the best ones of the book, as they are only found typically in the larger cardiology textbooks (Braunwald's and Hurst's). My only complaint is that the new ACLS guidelines are not incorporated in this book, probably as a result of it being sent to publish before the final revisions. Another book that I would highly recommend though.
