Healing Herbs A to Z: A Handy Reference to Healing Plants Review
I have several books on medicinal herbs, and every time we get a new one at the library it goes home with me for a while! I have run out of renewals on this one and found myself (OMG!) dogearring a page so I HAVE to buy my own copy! What I like best about this one is that it is very browsable, and gives good beginning information including multiple uses, medicinal attributes (explained in the intro), possible side effects, and possible drug interactions of the herbs which are listed A-Z. To find dosage recommendations, I research further (online or from one of my other books) - but I ALWAYS do that with any supplement.There is no index, so if you are looking for herbs for a specific symptom or disease, this isn't your best resource. But once you know the herb you are interested in, this is a great source to read up on it.
