Aspirin Volume 1 Review

Aspirin takes various mythological, fictional, and historic figures and meshes them up into a hilarious parody with a frantic pacing. Fiercely quick, the first volume of Aspirin blows the whole character introductions and advances through multiple story arcs.
From the crafty, but innocent Ondal to the quivering David Cupperfield, Aspirin makes good use of its characters and their own quirks. The plot diverges as each character does his/her own thing, then comes crashing together as everyone's misfortunes culminate in some sort of climax.
The english translation goes over well, reading smoothly and effectively. However, because of regional differences, some cultural references will go over readers' heads. In addition, the frantic pace does get tiring after a while.
Overall, Aspirin can be considered a top notch comedy manga, bringing together a wonderful cast and their interesting antics. It is well-worth taking a glance at.
